{ where fancy took them }

By admin

Lovelane Caravans has a small selection of classic lovingly restored caravans. Whilst keeping each as original as possible, they have been decorated and fitted out in such a way as to accentuate their individuality and character. As these caravans were designed to stop where fancy took them, they are functional without the need for an electric hook up. This means that they can be set up in remote areas, or anywhere else that suits. They are kitted out with all that you might need for a comfortable and authentic caravanning holiday. Perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway.

{ creating a nice atmosphere }

For interior decorator Tine Kjeldsen the smallest every day actions at home, as well as food, shapes, colors, flowers and trips abroad are a source of her inspiration. From this passion of decorating, she created her interior shop Tine K Home in her hometown Charlottenlund, Denmark. Her style is white or cream colored and the furniture resembles gorgeous French antique. Love it !

{ pinch design }

By admin

I love the furniture of Pinch Design in London. It’s a hint of midcentury modern with a rural French feel. The mix of traditional and contemporary style is so seamlessly executed that it is easy to imagine many of his pieces looking equally at home in a country cottage or uptown loft apartment.

{ 7 things about me }

By admin

I got tagged by Rebekah from Little Byrd Vintage to share 7 facts you may not know about me. This is funny as I have plenty of dark secrets that I can easily share with you ;o)
So here’s me:

{ 1 } My favorite room in a house is the kitchen. For me, a cozy kitchen is the heart of my home and the center of my fondest family memories. It’s the warm and cozy place where family and friends come together to chat around a cup of coffee. I especially love white Swedish vintage kitchens and everything that is kitchen-related like old baking molds, cookbooks, vintage cooking appliances…

{ 2 } One thing that I want to realize at least once in my lifetime is running a Marathon. I love running, it makes me balanced and I am always feeling zen. I am ready for the half marathon but need lots of more practice to achieve 42,195 km.

{ 3 } I wish I would be more persistent. I have so much ideas in my mind, but I never really put into practice. So I sometimes regret that I did not choose a creative vocation. Being a professional photographer would suit me.

{ 4 } I love flea markets and could spend hours looking for junk. Nothing is more relaxing than spending an early Sunday morning on a fleamarket and steeping in a bygone era. I love to imagine the history that is hidden behind each object. I love to mix vintage stuff with contemporary items, creating a unique and original decoration.

{ 5 } I have an extreme sweet tooth. Chocolate makes me happy and I love to bake. I like the challenge to experience with a recipe, apdapt it to my personal taste and create something new.

{ 6 } I am addicted to pumpkins. I love these huge big orange monsters and cute Jack-Be-Little or Baby Boos and wherever I see them, I am enchanted. And sure, I love Halloween and it’s not for nothing that my favorite season is fall, do you understand why ;o)

{ 7 } I was born in Germany and came to Paris 13 years ago for a three month training but never returned. I love Paris, even if – after all this time – living here becomes an everyday routine. I love to stroll through the streets early in the morning when Paris is still asleep and this wonderful city belongs entirely to me.Photo Credit: Creature Comforts Blog

I would like to pass this task « 7 things about me » to seven of my loyal followers, from whom I would like to learn more. Here it goes :

{ wooden fairytale shelter }

By admin

London designers of Studio Weave have completed a visitors’ shelter made of wooden profiles depicting trees and plants overlooking Kielder Water in Northumberland, UK, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake. Its structure  has been imagined within a fairytale that the designers wrote specifically for Kielder, inspired by the two sites, mythology and folklore. Such a lovely shelter in a wonderful countryside.

{ bringing the outdoors inside }

By admin

All the patterns of graphic designer Camilla Meijer tell their own stories, small pieces of her past re-worked and put into the present. Camilla is so astounded by the way plants and flowers find a way to flourish in such an enormous urban setting like London that everything she does in her work reflects the beauty of nature, a world of colour and visual texture that caresses the eye and speaks to the heart. Let you take on a journey into the magic and beauty of our wonderful Mother Nature.

I love the works of half Finnish half English illustrator and print maker Sanna Annukka with a love for nature and folklore. Her artworks are also influenced byFinland’s national epic known as The Kalevala, a collection of folklore songs that are quite simply magical. She created a wonderful range of limited edition silkscreen prints of her ‘Maiden’ designs.

{ lost objects }

By admin

The artist Pina Delvaux collects and puts together in boxes objects which have got lost. Useless, orphaned things allow her to develop new statements in her own artistic language.  Basically, her boxes attemp to create a space for the exchange and the preservation of dreams, longings and memories. The secret history of the objects thus connects with the secret history of the onlooker.

{ the world of words }

By admin

Thank You, Happiness, Love, Happy New Year… Like New Year’s Eve wishes, these words are displayed at the concept store Merci till january 15 th. Discover a wonderful exhibition of words and letters made from zinc, bakelite, wood or resin ! As former parts of shop signs, these letters are turned away from their basic purpose and gathered to form a word, a name, a message. Each word is a unique piece and results from the passionate quest of Nicolas Flachot and Thierry Bruere, the two creators of the Kidimo concept. I am madly in love with these letters !!!
